Jesus came to preach good news to the poor. Roots of Mercy International (ROMI) is committed to the poor and marginalized children on the continent of Africa. We affirm their worth, call them to be children of God through faith in Christ, and seek to release them from the brokenness and despair of generational poverty.

Roots of Mercy International (ROMI) recognizes and is committed to the integral relationship between pysical, mental, social, and spritiual health. We seek the total holistic development of each child, enabling them to become productive members of society thus enabling them to make significant contributions to their local environments.
long term solution
We start with a quality education supported by healthy nourishment which enables good health and a productive learning environment. We carry out home visits to check on the safety of each child's home life as well as regular heath checkups that enable disease prevention and protect the over all wellness of each child.
community involvement
Roots of Mercy International (ROMI) believes local community involvement is an integral part of each project's success. Partnering with parents, caregivers, and local authorities enables us to assess local needs, identify available local resources and assist with training to improve local community health and wellness.
The gospel and christian leadership
The Bible is our guidebook and Jesus is our model. We seek to imitate Jesus in humility and love. Every interaction with children and adults is based on the teachings of Jesus. Every leader in Roots of Mercy International is a Christian, and each one is a servant. We seek to model servant leadership in our organization as well as in every effort in Africa. Our mission is to raise up leaders in every community who give sacrificially to serve the needs of the people in their communities and countries.
